Thursday, August 27, 2020 is a time to refine the goals and intentions you’ve set. Tap into the joyful energy as you focus on planning ahead and being productive. It is a good time for learning and curiosity. Optimistic energy abounds and, if overly optimistic, can lead to procrastination. But the need to be practical and structured (and the push toward success that today brings) can balance that out. If you’re too focused on hard work, you may begin to feel depressed. If that’s the case, you can tap into the energies of joy and optimism that are readily available. Kids may find it easier to focus on lessons as long as they are grounded. Be on the lookout for opportunities and four leaf clovers!

Grounding Meditation
Do this meditation while standing with feet comfortably apart, knees slightly bent, arms at your sides, and head facing forward. With bare feet, stand on the earth. If you’re inside, picture yourself being outside. Close your eyes and visualize yourself as a tree. Your roots grow deep into the earth. You have all the water and nutrients you need for a great day. Your body is the trunk of the tree and you are very strong and standing tall. Picture your branches spreading out to catch the sunlight and all the opportunities (or joy or optimism) that are available to you today. Bring all that good energy from your leaves, down through your trunk, and into your roots. Send love from your roots into the earth. Think of something you are grateful for today. Now, gently wiggle your fingers and toes, take a deep breath, and open your eyes.
