Favorite Pet Picture: The flower for the month of June is a rose which is a symbol of love and beauty. White roses, in particular, symbolize “loyalty, рlаtоnіс love, worthiness, heavenly”. So, because it is June, I present to you a white Rose. Rose is indeed worthy of her name! She is friendly with new people and seems to get along with everyone. She is also quite a talker. Rose and Hoss, with whom she is bonded, are currently being cared for by Great Pyrenees Rescue Society and, together, they are looking for their fur-ever home. If you know of a family that’s been waiting for Rose and Hoss, pass this along and introduce them!
Favorite Book Quote: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
We are afraid of losing what we have, whether it's our life or possessions and property. But this fear evaporates when we understand that our life stories and the history of the world were written by the same hand.
Random Favorite: Stone-infused cleaning spray
I have a home-made vinegar-based cleaning spray that I add grapefruit and/or tea tree essential oils to. Recently, rather than making it with plain water, I started making it with stone elixirs. The one I made yesterday contains rose quartz (for loving energy), citrine (for joy), clear quartz (for clarity in my mind and home), and pyrite (for grounding). Peach agate (to reduce stress and make routine tasks flow more easily), emerald (to nurture family relationships), and amethyst (for calming) are a few other stones I’d use.
I love it because, as I use my spray, I imagine infusing my home with love, joy, clarity, and grounding. It’s like a little remedy for my home and everyone in it!
What were some of your favorite things this week?
& a Q
Question: You seem like you have all the answers all the time. What do you struggle with?
Quite honestly, everything I have an answer for is something I struggle with! Why? Because I’m human! When I have answers to questions it’s because I seek them out by checking in with my own wisdom as well as my spiritual guidance. But just because I have the answers doesn’t mean I can apply them perfectly! I am forever struggling to be creative rather than reactive in my relationships. Once, I called my dad to vent and ask how I should handle one of my parenting struggles. He laughed and advised me to go back and read some of the stuff I’d written in this newsletter. On more than one occasion, my husband has reminded me to read the daily newsletter because I was falling into an energy that I’d warned others to be conscious of.
One of my major challenges is to let go of things so I can live life more fully. I feel I have too much stuff which creates chaos in my mind and my home. But I also have some fear around letting things go. It’s silly because I know that if it all disappeared tomorrow, my family and I would be just fine. But it’s a lesson I’m currently working through. It’s a fear that’s been taught, passed on through the family line, and one that my spirit probably carries as well.
When it comes to all of my imperfections, all I can do is accept that this is where I am right now and keep stepping back into Love and Compassion. Then I move forward with confidence and optimism, knowing that I will eventually embody the lessons I desire to learn.
Be a part of it all!
