3 Favs
Favorite Pet Picture: Winston Churchill is a sweet, peaceful guy who was found tied to a pole. After some TLC, he’s feeling much better and is ready to begin a new life. He is currently being cared for by Caring Songs Rescue. If you know his fur-ever family, pass this along and introduce them!
Favorite Book Quote: Raising Your Spirited Child by Mary Sheedy Kurcinka
Remind yourself to pat yourself on the back for your accomplishments and celebrate each success, no matter how small it might be. Don’t let one problem rob you of the joy of the good moments.
Random Favorite: Reading books
Typically, if I want to “read” a book, I listen to an audio version. It’s so much easier to listen as I drive or do things around the house than to attempt to get some quiet time to sit down and read. However, last week, I went to the library and checked out a few books. Real books. I kept one in my car and the other on my couch. I’ve actually had quite a lot of opportunities to sit down and read little bits. I’m finding it to be a quick way to recharge when my energy is running low.

& a Q
Question: Do you ever use a pendulum? How do you use it?
I have two pendulums. I have a rose quartz pendulum that I’ve had for years and I got an amethyst pendulum for Mother’s Day. I use them on occasion.
There are many techniques for how they are supposed to be used including. Here is one that I recently utilized:
Think of a question
Write possible answers on pieces of paper and fold them up
Hold your left hand in a loose fist while holding the pendulum with your right
Right elbow on a table
Feet flat on the floor
Confirm your yes and no
Say “show me a yes” - it may swing side to side, diagonally, back and forth, clockwise, or counterclockwise - take note
Then ask it to stop and when it does:
Say “show me a no” - it should swing a different way than your yes - take note
When it stops say “show me unsure” - again, it should swing a different way
Meditate on your question
For each paper, ask if it’s the answer to your question.
If it works right, you’ll have your answer. Or, if it’s “unsure” it means the choice is yet to be determined by the decisions you make.
As nice as it would be to get clear answers on questions with something as cool as a pendulum, what I find is that my pendulum resonates with what I want to be correct rather than what actually is. So, I suppose it would be helpful to determine what I want, if that were fuzzy. But, I haven’t been able to get clear answers otherwise.
I’ll practice more in the future and do my best to get a better handle of this tool, but not every tool is for everybody. I prefer to focus on what works for me.
What I find more helpful is quieting my mind and doing automatic writing. I address my questions to God, my spirit guide, and my higher self. The words that come to my mind sound the same as my own words but are energetically different so I can usually distinguish what is coming from my thinking mind and what is coming from Heaven and my own soul.
When you need guidance, what tools do you like to use?
