Energy of the Day
Sunday, September 6, 2020 is about sharing. It’s a time to share warmth and love with those closest to you. Well-being and peace come from slowing down today. Get some extra rest and experience the sensual pleasures around you. Dealing with finances (especially with an expression of gratitude) and preparing for the coming week are activities that are in alignment with today’s energy.
Update: I totally forgot to mention the stubborn energy. If you end up butting heads with someone, stop, take a deep breath, and tap in to the energy of love that is abundant today. Chances are both you and the other person want to experience security and comfort today. Do your best to find a win-win!

Sensual Meditation
Get a hot drink (or, if you’re experiencing the heat wave, grab a cold one). Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Open your eyes and begin to experience your drink with all your senses. Feel it. How does it feel to hold the cup in your hands? Is it heavy, hot, cold, relaxing, invigorating? How does it feel on your face when you get close to it? Look at it. Watch the fluid move in the cup on the light reflect off the surface of your drink. What color is it? Can you see the bottom of the cup through the liquid? Smell it. How does the steam feel as it goes into your nose (or can you feel the coldness of your drink when you smell it? Does it smell sweet, spicy, bitter, soothing? Does the smell take you back to another time? What emotions does that bring up? Then you can listen to it and the sounds around you and within you. What do you hear around you? Can you hear your breath? Your heartbeat? Does your drink make any sounds? What sounds will you hear when you drink? Now Taste it. Hold it in your mouth a moment - does it make your body feel good or can you sense that it may irritate your head, belly, or emotions? Does the taste take you to a memory or feeling? Last, notice your intuition: Did any information come to you out of nowhere as you tuned in to your senses?
This is NOT an assignment in which you need to answer each of these questions. This is just an example of the thought process you may naturally go through as you notice each of your senses (touch, sight, hearing, smell, taste, and any intuitive information you may get as you do the meditation).
