Energy of the Day
Thursday, October 1, 2020 is a time for harmony. You should be seeing results from the work you’ve been doing on your goals and you may even notice new opportunities. You might want to start a new project - just make sure that anything you start is in alignment with the goals you set a couple of weeks ago. You may feel lucky, knowledgeable, and successful today - embrace it! You may also feel impulsive - channel that energy into something physical (exercise or manual labor) - before you say something you regret. The energy of honesty is abundant and so is the energy of tactlessness. Push yourself to experience life today - try something new or look at something old with new eyes.

Walking Meditation
One way to channel all the energy and enthusiasm of the day is through a walking meditation. This is best done directly on the earth with bare feet (though inside with shoes, or however you’d like, is fine too). You will walk VERY slowly and with mindfulness and reverence. Pay attention to every part of each step that you take: the way you lift your foot, the way your weight shifts to your other foot, the way you push off, the way you drop your heel and step through that foot, etc. You’ll be going so slowly that you can take nice long breaths: in with one step and out with the next. You may be so focused on your feet that you want to bend down to watch your feet while you walk. Do your best to maintain good posture, looking straight ahead, during the whole meditation. Give yourself 10 minutes for this exercise.
