Here are a few of my favorite things this week:
Favorite pet picture: Check out Meatball - all dressed up for the New Year celebrations! This guy is “young at heart” and falls in love with everyone he meets. He’s got a blood disorder, but that doesn’t stop him. If you know his forever family - pass this along and introduce them!

Favorite book quote: Medicine for the Earth: How to Transform Personal and Environmental Toxins by Sandra Ingerman
Many shamans say that we are dreaming the wrong dream. We live with the illusions that we are separate from nature, separate from the spiritual realms, and victims of our life and environment. These illusions are seeds that grow into plants of fear, anger, hate, despair, and darkness. It is time to weed out these plants of illusion from our garden and plant new seeds. . . . Let's dream a dream that embraces love, harmony, connection to all, and, most important, joy.
Random favorite: Saying no.
Nobody likes to be turned down. Most people don’t like to give a rejection either. But it’s amazing how enlightening it can be to turn down an offer that isn’t right. It can be scary; but it is also freeing. It opens the mind and heart to larger possibilities, and in the case of my family this week, inspires inspiration.
Question: How can I get ready for 2021?
Wow! Wouldn’t I like to know?! People are looking forward to 2020 ending. My family and I have made the best of this year. While 2020 had many challenges to face, 2021 will present a whole new set of them. Here is what comes to me when I meditate on this question:
Have an open heart and an open mind. Challenges will arise, but trust your instincts and rely on your gut to give you the answers required for anything you face. Spend time meditating. This will allow you to be more in tune with your inner wisdom. Your Creator has made you perfect. Trust that perfection more than any outside influence. Fight for what is Right rather than just being “good”. Sometimes fighting uses words and sometimes actions. The most powerful warriors are those who, without words or actions, spread peace and love just by being who they are. Be who you are. Remember, challenges are meant to help you grow and become your best self. Embrace them. But choose to grow in love as often as possible.
So, it seems that faith, meditation, peace, and love are the way to go again next year. Best wishes as you prepare for 2021!
