Favorite Pet Picture: In honor of National Pollinators Month, meet Bumblebee. After finding a new family, she got a serious infection that required surgery and was surrendered. She is feeling much better and is looking forward to long walks and lounging with her fur-ever family. If you know her people, pass this along and introduce them.
Favorite Book Quote: Ask Your Guides by Sonia Choquette
…my teacher Dr. Tully once told me that the best thing you can do for others, for yourself, and for the world is to be happy…
Random Favorite: Optimism
Sometimes everyone in the house is tired and grumpy, it feels like no forward progress is being made, and stuff just isn’t working out as planned. But then I look at my husband and smile and we know that everything is ok. And, it’s going to be even better tomorrow!
And if it’s not - there’s always the next day!
And if there is no next day - I’ve heard Heaven is nice!
What were some of your favorite things this week?
& a Q
Question: What is magic?
I suppose it depends on the culture you’re in. In some cultures, nothing is magic because magic is normal. It is normal to get spiritual guidance, to create with intention, and to understand that we are all affected by each other and the physical and spiritual energies around us.
Do I think the Harry Potter kind of magic exists? Yes…to some extent. I don’t think we need wands but I do think our thoughts and words have power just like spells. I also think there are people who are so in tune with the energy of the world that they can make things happen that would seem fantastic. We all have the ability to perform miracles.
But if we’re thinking more practically, magic is in everything. The sound of a laugh, the sparkle of sun on the water, the warmth of a hug, the birth of a baby. I believe that when you are conscious of what is around you, and within you, you experience magic - you experience power. You can raise your vibration and energy which makes it easier for other people to raise theirs. From a higher vibration it is easier to see the unseen - the miracles in our lives. It is easier to draw what we desire into our lives. It is easier to learn from, and move past, those things that cause pain. That is all magic!
Magic is the ability to make a conscious and intentional difference in the world. We all have the power to make powerful magic - even if it’s as simple as a smile or a laugh.
Be a part of it all!
