PAVE & How can I get through my day without fatigue?
3 Favs
Favorite Pet Picture: On national #WorkLikeADog day, rather than introduce you to a specific dog, allow me to introduce you to an organization. Paws Assisting Veterans (PAVE) provides service dogs to those who experience PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), TBI (traumatic brain injury), and other mental challenges and physical disabilities. Their goals include preventing veteran suicide and empowering success. Service dogs are quite expensive ($40,000) and this organization provides these dogs to veterans for free. So, on #WorkLikeADog day, consider getting involved with PAVE, or another organization that helps people in need get connected with a service dog.
Favorite Book Quote: Trust Your Vibes by Sonia Choquette
If you’re on the right track doing what serves your soul, then you’re going to feel good, relaxed, and peaceful. Your heart will beat steadily, your energy will remain high, and you’ll be relatively free from aches, pains, anxiety, or stress.
Random Favorite: Airman’s Attic
Airman’s Attic is a store that is open to all enlisted military (up to a certain rank - many of which make significantly less than the minimum wage in California) and their families. Basically, they can come to the store and shop for clothing, kitchen supplies, toys, school supplies, and pretty much anything they might need. All of it is free of charge. Our family just gave a large donation to the Airman’s Attic at the base near our home. It felt so good knowing that our things would go to military families that could really benefit from them.

& a Q
Question: I am so tired all the time. I don’t have the ability to do all the things I need to do - get enough sleep, eat right, exercise, meditate consistently. What can I do on days when I haven’t gotten enough sleep? How can I get through my day without fatigue and without coffee or medications?
Oh wow! If I had the answer for this, my life would be SO different! But I’ll do a little meditation and see what I can come up with. Maybe it will help us all!
If you have no time for meditation, use your life as a meditation. If you haven’t slept, and you’re probably in a state of long-term sleep deprivation, it’s going to take more than a little coffee to help you to reconnect to your body’s full energetic capacity. Yes, you are a human and human bodies do require a certain amount of sleep. But you are also a spirit and your spirit can work to refill your body’s energy stores, if you let it.
Each thing you take in - air, drink, food - do so consciously with the belief that it is renewing your energy stores. When you feel the sunlight or water or the breeze on your skin, do so consciously as if you were a plant taking in the nutrients from the sun and water. Allow the elements to invigorate you. Allow moments of joy, peace, happiness, and pleasure to fill you up.
Just be aware that low vibrational energies - fear, anger, frustration, worry, desire - will all further deplete your energy and require you to need more sleep. It is easy to connect with those energies when tired, so start right away - use the sunlight your eyes see in the morning to fill you up. Then keep filling yourself up.
Gratitude will nourish you as well. Say “thank you” as often as you can, even if it’s for everything and nothing at all.
Well, that’s what I came up with. Do I suggest you choose not to sleep and then nourish yourself on sunlight and then drive? Of course not! Be safe. But, hopefully that will help us both get through our day tomorrow more energized and feeling good!
Be a part of it all!
