Favorite Pet Picture: I was asked not to post the animal that was chosen in honor of #BeBaldAndBeFreeDay so that information has been deleted.
Favorite Book Quote: Smile Anyway: Quotes, Verse, and Grumblings for Every Day of the Year by Richelle E. Goodrich*
“What do you mean I have to wait for someone's approval? I'm someone. I approve. So I give myself permission to move forward with my full support!”
*I’m actually unfamiliar with this author’s work, but the quote I found makes me want to get to know her a little better!
Random Favorite: Thunder Storms
Since moving, we’ve been experiencing a lot of “weather”. That’s something the people back home aren’t as familiar with as the people here. Who needs a TV? We have open blinds and can watch the sky flash, the rain fall, and the leaves come down like snowflakes (another type of weather that we may experience soon). When we can actually hear it, the thunder is amazing.
Really, it’s only one of my favorite things if I’m in my cozy house. Otherwise, it’s pretty intense! If I’m outside, I’d have to change my answer. If my body has to personally experience the weather, then the warm, wet stillness before the storm or the cool, calm raindrops right before the sky opens up are the winners.
What were some of your favorite things this week?
& a Q
Question: On October 5th, you said: “You might want to save the decision-making for later in the week, otherwise you might make decisions that maintain the approval of others rather than those which are in alignment with your highest good.” That seems kind of selfish. Shouldn’t I want to maintain others’ approval?
It is nice to have the approval of others.
But, making decisions to maintain the opinions of others can hold you back.
You are the only one who knows your heart - your path - your God-given purpose in this moment. You are the only one who can know the right next step. To live into your highest good is to take that step.
If your goal is to keep the people in your immediate vicinity happy then you may be sacrificing the expression of your gifts. You came to this Earth to give something special - something that only you are capable of. Withholding that from the world might just be the more selfish act.
You can never please everyone. Do you remember the issue with the couple I wrote about a few weeks back in “How do I deal with the hurt other people cause?”? The husband criticized me for one thing and the wife accused me of the exact opposite. They both saw me from a completely different lens. Because what they were seeing was filtered through their own trauma and fear, what they saw (me) was completely different in both of their eyes. You can try chasing approval. But, it will probably be a very painful path.
Also, change is a scary thing. Maintaining approval requires staying the same. When you decide to do something different - to follow your heart - you may be seen as selfish. But it is only because the change has created fear in others. You are not responsible for their emotions. You are responsible for expressing your highest self.
Rather than seeking approval outside of you, look within. Your heart is full of unselfish love that it wants to share with the world. Let that love guide you and your actions will never be truly selfish.

This is a new section in the newsletter. I’ve finally got my website up! Each week, I’ll feature a product or service.
I wrote about Pandora’s Potions a bit ago. Here is the back store on one of the potions: CHANGE OF HEART.
I have a person in my life who is here to teach me about love, patience, and creativity. To do so, this person challenges me and pushes all my buttons. There was one moment in time (that actually had nothing to do with this particular person) that seemed to break my ability to be creative in my relationships and communication. This led to a lack of patience which led to anger and frustration on both of our parts.
I want to show this person as much love as I can but, when I was speaking out of irritation or anger, I was not my most loving self. I was sick of it so I turned to my stones and created CHANGE OF HEART.
You know how the stone essences are made so I’ll just tell you about my chosen stones:
Lepidolite: for deep emotional healing and releasing bad habits and toxic patterns
Rhodonite: to release fear, express compassion and forgiveness, and to send love out into the world
Amethyst: for peace
Rose Quartz: for love
I actually just made some stone water with three of the stones and drank it. (I don’t have any Rhodonite yet). The results were incredible, effortless, and instantaneous. All the sudden the things that triggered me no longer made me angry. We were out of the pattern that was making me miserable. I was immediately feeling the sweetness of love and caring that we had before. And I find myself being more capable of creativity in our relationship because I’m feeling more peaceful.
I can’t wait to share this with others who might also need a little change of heart toward someone they love!
When you order CHANGE OF HEART you’ll get the full elixir. If you’d like to pre-order or get more info, you can send me a message here and let me know. (I’ve got to stop by the stone shop then we’re just waiting for the new water purifier to be ready!)
Be a part of it all!
