Sometimes it’s scary for changes to happen. But it can also be so satisfying!
What were some of your favorite things this week?
& a Q
Question: What are some healthy habits that even the most overwhelmed person can fit in?
Here are a few things that you can do that don’t cost you much at all but could possibly help you move into a space of peace:
Smile. You mind and body communicate. Stand up straight and smile. It will tell your brain that you are feeling good. Then you might even start believing it!
Look people in the eyes. We get so busy that we forget to connect. Make eye contact - especially with the people you care about.
Drink water. It’s easy to forget to drink throughout the day. So, start with two glasses of room temperature water while you’re sitting. (Hot lemon water is another good choice!) Give yourself a chance to breathe between each sip. Then take a little water along with you as a reminder to continue to refresh yourself.
Move your body. You don’t have to fit in a whole exercise routine. Do a few squats while you’re waiting for the coffee to brew. Park a few extra spots away so you’re walking a bit longer. Take the stairs. Do this all with the intention that it is exercise and that it will benefit your body and mind.
Breathe. This 3-Breath Meditation is quick and easy. You can do it as often as you like.
Gratitude. If you don’t have time to journal - no biggie! The most magic way I’ve found is to repeat “Thank You.” in my mind. I don’t even have to feel gratitude. I just stay it like a mantra. I’ve noticed amazing results when I do this!
Hug. If you have someone in your life you care deeply for, try hugging them a little longer and a little more often. All the good stuff starts happening in your body at about 6 seconds into a hug. Do this 10 times a day and you’ve spent a minute connecting with someone but you both will receive amazing benefits!
Be a part of it all!
